Zerîn Anwar al-Bakri

Zerîn Anwar al-Bakri was born early in the first watch on The Day of the Treaty. He was the last child of Anwar and Lorîn. Shortly after he was born, Lorîn received a vision. Upon coming out of the vision, Lorîn named her child Zerîn, meaning 'golden,' asked his brothers to care for him, then left. A milk-mother was easy enough to find, as the al-Bakri's lived semi-nomadically with many other clans. Havîn Xermanî had had a miscarriage recently and was willing to take on Zerîn. She did her best to split this with obligations to her own clan.

Combined with efforts from his older brothers--14, 13, and 7--Zerîn was cared for. It is the faces of Havîn and his brothers that he remembers. A good thing, as he was a fussy baby. Milk made him sick, which made him cry. He cried himself out after a month or so, but still seemed unhappy. However, being sung or read to soothed him.
